2024 Year In Review by Milwaukee Wedding Photographer Patrick Betcher

2024, that’s a wrap.

About 30 weddings later I reflect back on a year full of great couples and some truly enjoyable celebrations.  As a Milwaukee Wedding Photographer, I had the chance to work in more great venues with tons of amazing Milwaukee vendors. It would be easy to pack it in and keep it moving into 2025, but with a little bit of time before the next wedding, it seemed like a good time to look back on the year in the best way I know how: with the visuals.

To the couples I work with, I say this every year: I cannot thank you enough for taking the leap of faith and asking me to be the one to photograph a truly important day.  As I like to say, quality photographs should be table stakes.  If my photographs resonate with you, I want you also to feel that I helped make your celebration as uncomplicated as possible while contributing to an overall great experience.  Many times it starts with the engagement shoot, where we get to know one another and bring a camera into the equation, and follows right on through to the delivery of your gallery.  Some of you even asked me to handle the videography, which is a new offering as of this year and one I am excited to keep rolling out in the future. I appreciate you and wouldn’t be able to pursue this dream without you.  With such a busy year professionally and personally (we added a baby to the family clan in the heart of wedding season!), my gratitude for your patience as I made it all work through sleepless nights cannot be overstated.  Sincerely, thank you.

The photos I have chosen to post for 2024 represent many manners of moments and couples.  Again, it was another year of experimentation, countless blasts of inspiration, hours upon hours of fine tuning the final product, and always so much gratitude for being able to do something I love for a living. There are always so many moments that don’t make it into this collection, but easily could.  Tens of thousands of photos later, this is a mere spattering of some that I love most.  This collection leans heavily into the photos that allowed me some creative space (thanks again to my couples for giving me the green light), with some of my favorite candid moments sprinkled in.  I continue to find that if an inquiring couple appreciates photos like the ones below, it makes for a great fit and I end up working for the best possible clients.  And as always, this is wedding photography for laid back couples who like to have a good time.

…Enjoy!

…See you in 2025!
